Wrapping hampers

I know this has probably been posted somewhere but i can't find it :(

I have done 4 hampers this year and they are in round baskets, but i am having trouble wrapping them. I want to wrap them in cellophane (which i can do) but then also wrap them up so you can't see what's inside till they are opened on christmas day (IYSWIM)

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hi kms26, A couple of Christmases ago, I bought my friend a load of hair products on 3 for 2 (you can get much more for your money this way then buying in a gift set)
I bought a gift box just big enough to put them in standing up but the box just came halfway up the products. (Put lid underneath)
I put pink and purple tissue paper inside the box and sat products inside this.
Pull up tissue paper (like you would cello) and tie loosely just to hold for now.
Make tissue so you can see both colours at top. (You might have to double it if you can still see through)

Now put your cello round this as you would normally wrap a hamper and bring up to the tissue and tie at top and finish off with ribbons, bow etc.

This way, you can still see the box and it looks really pretty.

What about putting the cello-wrapped hamper into a santa sack?

You can get some pretty large ones in poundland/99p stores (saw them yesterday at Merry Hill and Pallisades branches :D)
  • use a large sheet of tissue paper UNDERNEATH the cello
and use a co ordinating ribbon/decoration to tie the cello
