what is an acceptable settlement offer to robinson way

Hello all,

I currently owe £1000 to Robinson way, I have cleared justs about all my debt in 2 years, working very hard and now have £365 owing to Halifax with Blair oliver scott who I am thinking maybe a decent offer to them may be about £100-£150 , and my last debt is this big one but do not know how much to offer. My Mum has said she will lend me a small sum of about £200-£300 but obviously want to pay as little as possible as it is not my money and a kind offer.

What would you say they would accept? I have had this debt for about 6 years from when i opened the credit card and 5 years I have had the debt.

Many thanks

  • I found Robinson Way not too bad to deal with. I was made an offer by them to pay off in a lump sum. I think it worked out to be around 75-80% of the remaining debt - a decent enough deal but I wasn't in a position to accept.

I would think 75-80% may be accepted but you should wait for advice from people who have been succesful in getting their offers accepted.

If they offer such a reduction, it means that they know full well there's absolutely no way they can enforce the debt they've got.
