HELP First Time Buyers Mortgage - Changing Jobs

Hi everyone,
Me and my girlfriend are going to be applying for a mortgage in the summer, but we’re in a situation where my girlfriend will be changing jobs at the end of the summer. She is currently working as a teacher doing her GTP year (Graduate Teacher Programme) and will be moving on to her NQT year (Newly Qualified Teacher) in September, she is likely to be changing schools. Due to it technically being a completely new job, would it still be ok to apply for a mortgage? Or would we need to wait until she has been in her new role for a while?
Also, from what ive read on the internet a lot of lenders ask for a minimum of 6 months in a job before you apply for a mortgage, is this still the case?
Your help would be much appreciated!
Kind Regards,
Sam and Gem

Probably a good idea to wait till she actualy has a job.
Cuurently you have no idea where she will be working or can get a job so buying a house restricts location.
Also what happens if she can't get a job how are you going to pay the mortgage?0 -
Why not wait until xmas next year when your G/F will hopefully have been in post as a teacher for six months and you can also get references from her new employer! This also give you time to build up a bigger deposit and also look around the area you want to live in.0

If you can wait for an extra six months then I feel that would be the best option, but if you must move out this summer is there no way of agreeing the mortgage before you actually need it?0
