Hello
I hope I am posting in the right place.
I am off to Bournemouth tonight (well arriving at about 5pm), and wondered if there is a shopping centre anywhere near the BIC (concert venue).
If anyone knows of one, I would be really grateful to hear about it. Just need the name,as I have a sat nav
Many thanks

The Bic is only about 400 yards from the main square in Bournemouth where there are the normal shops such as Debenhams,Smiths,Boots and various other dept stores.
There is a shopping centre called Castlepoint about 5 miles from the Bic and you will go near it if you are coming to Bournemouth from the Southampton direction. Castlepoint is not a mega big centre like Bluewater etc so don't build your hopes up.
May be best if you park up for the BIc and go around Bournemouth town centre.
Thursday is late night shopping night so most shops will be open.0 -
Thanks Nigreeves!
You don't happen to know if any of the carparks are the type where you pay when you leave? I would rather not pay up front (pay and display) as I'm not sure how long I will be there!
Thanks

but there are two multi stories serving the town centre (one near the triangle called avenue road car park) which is pay on exit. can't remember the name of the other one but its off richmond hill (access by the wessex way). All car parks in bournemouth are horribly expensive even in the evening, live 4 miles away and go only about 5 times a year because of it. You can walk through the lower gardens to get to bic or past Debenhams and straight along road up a hill to it. Allow at least 5 mins. HTH0

Parking at Castlepoint is free but its always busy. I live 8 miles from Bournemouth and havent been shopping there for a couple of years! Would rather go to Castlepoint - lovely big M & S, TK Max etc but no department stores. Debenhams in Bournemouth centre is very small and pokey.0
