Oh my..:( sent my Mum and she returned with 2 70cl! I'm gutted....0 -
Netto has the same 70cl bottles at £9 each or 2 for £16 on Monday, £9 for a 1L bottle doesn't sound right most of the supermarkets seem to have stuck at £10 this year.0

yep, was gonna reply to OP to say i bought this over a week ago, 70cl for 9.00 not 1ltr bottle, but didn't reply as thought offer might have changed.
still, its not a bad price if all other supermarket deals have finished on the 1ltr bottle?0 -
Whilst you are in lidl, I recommend you try their Baileys 'copy', Queen Margot (stupid name, I know). Unlike most of the cheap Baileys this one is made from the same ingredients, i.e. Irish Whiskey, cream etc and is the exact same strength. IMHO it's probably a little nicer than Baileys (and, unlike Baileys, has actually won awards from some of the drink experts organisations).
Only available in 70cl bottles AFAIK at £5.99 but you can get 2 for £10 so that's almost 1.5 litres for a tenner! Try it and, I'm sure like us, you won't be hunting out the Baileys 'bargains' ever again.

Asda have their own brand too called 'Irish Knights'...... They are selling a 1.4 litre bottle for £7.
The bottle is plastic too rather than glass.
Not tried it yet though but if it is ok then will def be buying more!!!!!!!!0 -

I *think* that has wine instead of Irish Whiskey, though? The reason we go for the Queen Margot is that it is to all intents and purposes Baileys in the sense that it is the same strength (17%) and uses the exact same ingredients. I know it's sad to admit this, but we did a blind taste test with some friends last Xmas and the results were 50-50 - half spotted the Baileys and the other half thought the Queen Margot was the Baileys, lol.0
