Pearl of Wisdom:It's a marathon not a sprint. If you have a month where you don't meet you targets don't beat yourself up, regroup and go again, just never give up. Start an emergency fund at the same time, I'm not only debt free today but also have £2,000 in the bank for whatever may be around the corner.

    Debt free date: Today

Pearl of wisdom: Sometimes you have to accept you are in for the long haul, keep going it's worth it in the end, dont deprive yourself a little treat now and again.. bottle of wine/box of chocs/some nice bath stuff. It makes it easier to keep focused, otherwise you can easily become demotivated and think you may as well not bother and fall off the wagon (so to seak). Learned that the hard way :-)

Our debt free date is all the more special as today we have exchanged on our new house. This is something that seemed so far off at times during our df journey.
