Cheap sunflower seeds

Not sure if this is where this tip belongs, but here goes!
I was getting catfood at our local (independent) pet shop the other day and noticed that the sack of sunflower hearts (ie the hulled seeds) had the words "bakery grade" on the side.
I made a few enquiries, and as far as I can tell all pet food shops and bird seed outlets use this grade, which is absolutely fine for human consumption (because that's what it is designed for).
My local pet shop sells these sunflower seeds (or hearts, as they call them) for £1 a pound, which is a lot cheaper than the health food shop, or even the supermarket.
I was especially interested in this as I use sunflower seeds ground to make a sort of biscuit, scattered on top of fresh museli and as a savoury snack (sometimes with marmite or soy on).
