Do remember that unlocking this device via code generation, or software tools voids your warranty. If it's rooted, it can be unrooted ie: meaning that you would still have warranty available. I think I may buy one, but will probably buy a rebel sim, so that my warranty is intact once it's bought.

I spoke to a guy in Orange, and he told me that even if the unlock code is given by Orange, it will still break your warranty hence the reason I am willing to buy a rebel sim instead.

Also, the grey looks almost black on the orange site? Could any one confirm the colour? I'd rather have black, over grey

Just remember folks, the screens on these bad boys aren't OLED (good) anymore the're now TFT (not so good) with backlights...:(

Anyway, just remember lots of the reviews were done with the good screen editions, so take with a pinch of NaCl !!

The TFT screen is very good....and unlock it for free. And after installing a 2.2 rom, the phone is spectacular value....buy it!

It's a dark grey. And for under a £100, who cares about the warranty. The low cost is allowing the flow of creativity.

The TFT screen is supposedly quite good, yes. Not as good as the OLED, but it's not a deal breaker. I'll be selling my Nokia 5800 Xpress for this

Me! Thanks about the dark grey comment. I think I may buy it, and then sell my mobile phone off. Also, the rebel sim will hopefully continue with me, if I buy other phones in the future as well

what is the point of reposting deals from (the far superior ukhotdeals)?

MSE has lots of uses but reposting of bargains found elsewhere feels a bit pointless, was posted on hotdeals just after midnight

I am always grateful that people do repost from HDUK - Can't stand the site and it saves me from having to go anywhere near it if offers are reposted here:T

And anyway lots of finds get copied and pasted from MSE straight over to HDUK so works both ways i guess?

Yes, I used 'universal Androot' to root the phone and then used 'Barnacle Wifi Tether' both available in Market.

App works great and makes your phone a hotshot anything can connect to.

    Good luck

    Here's a good guide :
    http://www.chrislowthian.co.uk/upgrade-your-orange-san-francisco-zte-blade-to-froyo-2-2-oled-tft-versions/1898/

and find the right version of Gingerbread at MoDaCo.
