Just a hypothetical question really. Sorry if it is an obvious answer, but I do not know the answer so it can't be that obvious!
What would happen if the Bank my mortgage was arranged with went bust? Who would I pay the mortgage to for the next 20 years?

If a major bank went bust and the government didn't rescue it there would be far more to worry about than paying your mortgage or not. Like whether people would be paid, whether local authorities could function, benefits paid......I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
