Struggling to find remortgage for shared ownership

Does anyone know which lenders offer remortgages for shared ownership?

I have a friend who is looking for 5yr fixed but every time we find one, it turns out it's not available for shared ownership :(

dont see a broker or you will likely pay a higher rate. Go direct to Nationwide, Halifax and othe3r main lenders. Brokers are only there for complex cases.

Brokers are there for anybody who wants to use them. How do you define a complex case?

Somebody may have no idea about a mortgage and what it involves so requires advice even if it is the most straightforward of applications. Anything is straightforward if you know how to do it.

  • We have shared ownership and had no probs getting a mortgage with nationwide
  • Try the broker London & Country. (I can't post links so do a search.)
I got my original mortgage (for a shared ownership property) through them and have just been in touch with them for remortgaging through them too. After seeing what they can offer you can still search around on your own before you decide which mortgage to go for.

    Try Halifax

    Good Luck
  • Depends what it's for. Are they capital raising or doing a pound for pound re-mortgage?

We do a lot of business with Leeds Building Society.
