                    well first I had norovirus  that was grim. Now it's turned into a high temp, hacking cough, aches pains, and still feel sick

I've not eaten properly since last Thursday and I'm struggling
When I feel sick, I can't stomach bland food (odd I know) so have been drinking herbal teas (fruit, lemon and giner, peppermint), 10 calorie coups (cos they're clear) and managing the odd piece of marmite on toast and pure orange ice pops
Any other suggestions? Or do I just go with what I'm doing, and hope my appetite comes back soon?

            Sorry you've been ill, feeling sick is the worst sensation. I wouldn't worry about losing your appetite, a change in diet for a few days won't do you any harm and you'll feel hungry as you start to recover.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

            maybe try making your own soup, blended might be better if you cant stomach texture ie a pulse based soup like lentil with a hummus sandwich0

 not quite as bad as the vomiting - I have a huge fear of it, so it wasn't pleasant at all 0 0

            when i'm ill i always opt for mash with grated cheese on it. or pasta twists with cheese.0

            You can get a powder called Complan from the pharmacist or even a Tesco, you mix it with milk. The box says it's a" vitamin and mineral fortified mix with skimmed milk and vegetable oil". The vanilla version actually tastes yummy, a bit like Slimfast without the thicker consistency and a lighter taste. It's no effort to drink it

            Anybody to cook for you?
 HM thin chicken soup made with the carcass or a couple of skinless chicken thighs boiled up (with seasoning, finely chopped onion and a little garlic and fresh ginger if you like it). Add a little rice if you want some stodge.
 The best, most nourishing, easily digested invalid food!0

            I would stick to bland foods (know you said you hate them) as they are easy for your body to digest and less likely to cause a problem IME. But if you really don't like eating bland stuff and it has to have flavor, try things like stock cubes, spices and herbs to add taste. Try to drink a cup of water with rehydration drink mix in if you are throwing up alot as your electolytes and body salts will be all out of sorts and a drink of this will help you feel better. If you can't stand the taste then try a drink of water+orange juice or grapefruit juice (50/50 mix) with a pinch of table salt in which will do the same trick.
 When I have been unwell in the past I have always craved cream of tomato soup, it seems to go down well and you can make your own easily if you have lactose issues.
 Other options I have gotten on well with are dry toast (no butter, no jam, no meat no dairy). I think that toast does have a taste and is not bland. White over granary in this example only as normally its not so good for your health.
 Freshly steamed vegetables, could make into a soup by adding a stock cube and a little cornflower or gravy powder and simmering for a bit.
 Breakfast cereals such as wheatabix, cornflakes, branflakes orrice crispies (plain stuff but IMO they don't taste of nothing). If milk is turning your stomach you can always try this with orange juice or just grab a handful with some raisins to nibble on.
 Have you tried pasta/plain rice with some steamed white fish or steamed chicken breast? you could easily add spices and herbs to this if its too bland for you.
 Consumme soups are also clear if you get fed up of the 10kcal stuff.0

            When ill as a child, we were always given 'egg in a cup' - hard boil some eggs, mash them up with a knob of butter and season, it is brilliant for giving strength back to you0
