£10 to add on for an unwanted birthday present converted into a Next voucher so now up to £330.71 so far for the year. I'm getting a bit confused though posting it on here & the £10 a day challenge!

I am going to have a look now on e*ay at wedding dresses as I want to sell mine. It is 17 years old but is all packaged properly in a box, although of course I will have to get it out to photograph it etc. Not sure though whether I am too new to e-*ay to try & sell something like this yet. I only have 9 stars so far! Also not looking forward to seeing what size it is to remind me how much slimmer I was back then, lol!

On a MS note of a different kind, I have had confirmation today from Cosmos that that the 3* 2 bed apartment that we had booked for Ibiza is not open this year so instead they have booked us into two one bed apartments at a 4*! So more for our money & what is even better is OH's 17 year old son now won't actually be in our apartment, he he!

Personally I would wait until you have 10 selling stars because then your detailed ratings show. Just my opinion, but I would never buy an expensive item from someone with less than 10 feedback.

You could also try listing it on preloved, gumtree, notice boards in tescos etc.
  • Ok thanks Nikki, will do as you have advised.

Red-Boxer: On free listing weekends I write up everything I can in advance in Word (guess what I'm doing tonight) and then cut & paste during the free listing period. This means that when I actually list the items I don't have to worry about the words themselves, just the overall look of the ad, etc.

Certain that there is a quicker way to do this but it seems to work for me.

Having said that I've just realised that I've got a christening tomorrow and I'm out Sunday night so probably won't be able to post as much as I'd like!

Don't you find though that on the free listing weekends that your items don't sell as quickly or for as much money ? With all the extra people listing stuff

True. But on free weekends I tend to go for quantity rather than quality. I mainly sell on old 'stuff' that I've come across in my travels (nowhere exotic, just a 15 mile radius from my front door). I bought about 150 old magazines for £1 from a garage sale, I'll make a number of listings and only need to sell one to be in profit (two if I take petrol costs into consideration). I've also got a stack of records that I rescued when my parents moved house - along with a pile of junk that I might try and work through.

I gave up using eBay for better stuff some time ago, I tend to use other site for interesting, middle value items and any really good items I come across go to the local auction rooms.

You cant use the turbo lister for free listings, its got to be done the long-winded way unfortunately

Hi everyone, lurker here, I really enjoy reading your thread.
red boxer, I type up my listing and set it to upload on Sat or Sun, I think the box to do this is under the postage bit, you can schedule your listing to upload several weeks in advance.

I haven't joined the thread but really enjoy reading all your progress, you have inspired me to sell my cd on music magpie £24' an old phone £9 and some old gold earrings ( odd ones) and some broken necklaces £144  in would recommend hat ton gold, sent it special delivery yesterday morning and they emailed me today and the money was in my account by lunchtime :j
Thanks for the inspiration everyone, good luck with your challenges x

BUt you would be charged normal rate for this, it specifically says in terms and condidtions that you now cannot use turbo lister for free listings, to get it for free you must use the normal sell your item listing on ebay.

Thank you, I have never used turbo lister.
I should have been clearer in my post, when you are listing normally on ebay, you can schedule your item to upload in the future, you don't need to list it immediately. :)

I *think* and don't quote me on this but sometimes turbolister does work on free listing days but its more of a glitch than anything.

Found £10 in my purse in amongst all the receipts - bonus!! Shall put that in the piggy tonight.

At work and no word about the meeting or anything. I just want the out come!!

Working in the hotel tonight, then normal work tomorrow, hotel at night (only till 11) then working from 6pm on Sunday. Should be another £70ish in the pot.

My normal job are allowing people to temporarily increase their hours between April and September. So I might try and do an extra 6 odd hours a week or something.

Will maybe list a few things on eBay on Sunday. My perfume, another MAC eyeshadow and then some other junk probably.
