At £15-£40 per month Chillywarranty are anything but cheap and they add on extra charges after that. In their terms they say 'The first callout on each appliance is subject to a £15 administration fee.'
There are so many exclusions it's a wonder that anybody qualifies to claim on their warranty. I was going to copy and paste them into this post but there really are loads of them so here's the PDF so that you can look for yourself.

Hi, I have paid for but not yet received a TV via a store website. They offer a free 5 year warranty on the same goods bought in store but not if I buy online. Is this legal and why does it make any difference? Hope someone can provide some help in my 'negotiations'! Thanks!0

Does anyone know where I can get an extended warranty for a Toshiba laptop? I was about to buy one for a manufacturers grade A1 refurbished product to extend the manufacturers guarantee from 3 months to 12 months, however the merchant wishes extra for delivery although their extended warranty is sent by email....this I was unwilling to pay.
Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks0 -
Re Graham SK8 28 post 28 Dec 2012. You say that under EU Law there is now a 2 year warranty. Does that apply to white goods as I purchased a Bosch fridge freezer in December and we only got one years warranty on it?0

I bought a AEG ashing machine in JL with extended guarantee and have the paperwork to show my machine is guaranteed until April 2021.
I started getting reminders in March 2018 about renewing the guarantee - ie at the 2 year point. I went back to Domestic and General and they confirmed 5 years and sent duplicate paperwork.
I am getting constant reminders to renew the guarantee. Spoke to Domestic and General who assure me the reminders are not coming from them but are being generated by AEG
AEG do not respond to emails
I think this is a real con. If I had not known that I had the extended guarantee I might ( Unlikely) have started to pay the £8.70 per month. Over the 3 years that I am covered for already I would be giving AEGor D&G about £300 for cover I already have.......0 -
I have an immersion heater that has gone wrong after 18 months, and the supplier is saying it only has 12 month warranty. Surely this isn't correct.0

Bought Washer Dryer in April 2015 with a 5 year warranty. Not disputed. By our calculations we have made 18 calls for repairs with repair times normally lasting between 4-6 weeks (need to order parts; wrong part turns up; etc.) Many for the same/reoccurring issue. Works for 2 months then another error code. Can not use machine so over 4.5 years, we have not been able to use it for maybe 50% of the time. Latest is that in trying to replace a circuit board, the plastic connectors have all begun to perish and become brittle. They are breaking so now even more new parts and another 2 week delay.
The main reason we bought the machine was the 5 year warranty, but I never expected to have to use it as much as we are.
Question is, even with a 5 year warranty, how many repairs is too many and do I have any legal options.
Father in law has exactly the same model, 4 years old and never had an issue, so if there is anything such as a Friday machine, we may have one!0
