Car Finance, car surrendered but unclaimed!!

Hi,
Hope this is in the right place as I am new here.
My friend had a car on finance but chose to surrender it at the half way point and paid the charges. He has cleared this and left the car on my driveway to collect by the company since August. The car is now Sorn and the MOT expired but the Finance company seem to have no interest in collecting despite numerous calls from both him and I.
I would like my driveway back for my car. Can I charge them storage or at sometime purely claim ownership of it as it seems to be abandoned. At best the car is worth about 2k with a valied MOT although I reckon more close to £1800.
Everytime I call them I get told I will have a call in 48hrs regarding its removal. This has been going on 3.5 months.

I would suggest writing to the finance company to state that if the car isn't removed, then you will arrange for it to be removed from your premises. (You can't sell it by the way, or claim the vehicle)Best Regards

Wasn't going to sell it. But I know from working in a garage that vehicles that were considered abandoned by the owner because they were uncollected could be claimed within a certain amount of time.0

Tell them to come and collect their tat or you'll arrange to have it collected, stored at eight squillion pounds per day on a piece of secure scrub and then have it crushed.
Give them some kind of deadline and send it recorded delivery"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0
