Will popcorn 'keep' for 2 weeks in sealed jar?

I am trying to think of a imaginitive way to wrap a gift card, and was thinking of 'hiding' it in a big jar of popcorn. I need to exchange gifts this weekend so the popcorn will need to last 2 weeks + before it is openned.
Dont want to poison them on christmas day with rancid popcorn!
What do you think?
ALternatively i was thinking of filling a huge box with balloons and hiding the gift card inside one of them along with lots of glitter etc but again not sure if the balloons will stay inflated for 2 weeks?
or any other ideas on how to wrap a gift card?
