And a bit of advice (not that most of you will need it
)
CHECK THEM OUT !! 2 reasons
Firstly, unless you actually LIKE the CRUST .... get one with JUST the outer half circle (they are semi-circular) covered in "crust" - both "faces" showing pure blue cheese.
Many of them are obviously the slice from the TOP or BOTTOM of the whole cheese and has one of the faces also covered in "crust" - don't eat it myself so less "edible" cheese to be had from the weighed total.
Secondly pick up a HEAVY one
They are VERY very similar in diameter BUT the THICKNESS seems to vary quite a lot.
DON'T pick up a thin one - I popped one on some scales and it was slightly under 1kg
I found a couple of THICK ones and got quite a bit more than the 1kg indicated
One was 1.13kg (13% extra ) and the second was 1.19kg - almost A FIFTH OVERWEIGHT :j :j

Scales and Xmas don't normally go together, but there are advantages here.

I know you can freeze regular cheese, but how about Stilton ? Has anyone frozen and then eaten it 'raw'. I've already got a £3.00/ 650g bit from Tesco.Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)

Yes you can freeze stilton. It tends to be a little crumby when thawed but tastes fine.

I'm not sure - I did get one last year - £4.99 and weighed 1kg + a bit more
