Self Employment status

Several years ago, I was self employed for a while, and worked away from home. I claimed for mileage too & forth from my home, accomodation and general expenses etc. whilst working away.
I have now been offered a contract, similar thing. But the clients contract states that they will deduct tax & NSI from my earnings and pay me monthly. It is just short term, 3 to 6 months.
Will I still be able to claim my milage (about 500 per week) and my bed & Breakfast etc aginst my earnings?
Anyone got any info on this?
thanks in advance
