House of Fraser - won't take my money!!

I wonder if someone could please advise me - I've done a quick search and can't find anything else related either on here or Google ....
I bought some goods online from House of Fraser on the 17th November totaling £150. Paid for next day delivery and they arrived. All is great and good, gifts kept, no problems.
Initially, the £150 showed up immediately as gone from my bank account to spend (though it didn't say where to, but as I logged into my online banking 1 minute after making the transaction, I can vouch that £150 immediately disappeared from my amount available to spend) .... however about 1 week later it came back in, so I am now plus this £150.
The transaction isn't showing on my online banking, there is no sign of them actually taking this £150. During the transaction I had to do the usual card giving information and then the additional Santander security and password, so I know they've had my details.
Why don't they want my money? When are they likely to take it? It's approaching 3 weeks and I just want it gone now rather than me forget about it, spend the money and have them try and take it out! What to do?
Any advice gratefully received!!

Maybe they are out of stock? Or have not had the item in stock at the time you ordered and maybe cancelled at the time as they were unsure when they were getting in more stock or if it was going to get to you in suitable time.
OP have you tried phoning them to ask?0 -

Thanks for the replies!
What's odd is that I've received the goods next day, all is great with them! They seemed to allocate the money and then return it.
I have to admit that I'm pretty loathe to contact them just in case they have cocked it up somewhere down the line their end, and then it prompts them to figure out that I owe them £150. And then I think surely they'll figure it out at some point any way.
Do I just shut my mouth and not spend the cash and hope after a few months it's mine, or do I alert them and remind them??!! I want to spend the money!!!!! (But I won't for now!)0 -

:rotfl:Lol- I think thats a moral dilemma coming to an MSE newsletter near you! If it had happened to me I'd be worried about karma and all sorts of bad things happening to me as a result, House Of Fraiser as a store don't have the best customer service skills IME and so it would be unlikely they'd reward you in any way for returning the money to them. Had you not watched your account so closely you'd have been none the wiser- its a funny way to see it as paying off to be so cautious!
But its your choice, I can see why you'd not contact them and thats entirely your right, you have done nothing wrong, its their error. I could say 'if things had been the other way around' but that would still be their error and not yours so at the end of the day its your choice I think.
Enjoy the sales!0
