smiler*101 wrote:Hi all,
Hope i have posted this is the right place!!!! Sorry if i havent
I have received a voucher from Tesco's entitling me to a FREE 60 DAY TRIAL on any DVD of my choice. The idea is that you select around 30 DVD's and Tesco will send them out to you 3 at a time. Once you have watched them you return them in a FREE envelope and Tesco will then send out another 3 DVD's from your list.
Enter Tesco site ( https://www.tesco.com )
Click on DVD rental
Enter Promotion Code TD67G6X
Good luck and happy watching!!!:rotfl:
WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
these rentals are all well and good until (like me) royal mail loose a dvd ( or in my case x3!!!)
i could not cancel my subscription until these x3 dvd's were returned. i had to request a 'lost in post' form from royal mail, which takes up to 3 months! which ment that i coulnt cancel my subscription until i had this letter, if i did i would be liable for £60 ( £20 per disc)
needless to say, as soon as i recieved the 'lost in post' disclaimer form from the royal mail, i cancelled my account, never to return!!!!!!
BUT IT TOOK 3 MONTHS TO GET THE LOST INPOST FORM AND IN THAT TIME OBVIOUSLY, 3 MONTHS WORTH OF SUBSCRIPTION FEES CAME OUT OF MY ACCOUNT
note tescos policy
*Failure to return DVDs will result in the account remaining active and billing will continue. We reserve the right to charge a replacement cost of up to £20 for any non returned DVDs. To avoid problems, we advise obtaining a certificate of posting when you return our DVDs to us. Please note we do not provide refunds or credits for any partial subscription periods.
this is worse than the policy i had with my dvd rental place, at least with mine, if lost i could get the 'lost in post' form and didnt need to pay for the loss, with tesco it looks like youll have to fork out £20 per disc if lost. end of story.0 -
New member here and I just wanted to say a big Thank You to the OP for this great offer, I'm just waiting for my DVD's to come now
I'm also going to make sure I get a certificate of post when I send them back, should only be a small amount and better safe than sorry, and anyway it's STILL cheaper than renting them elsewhere lol0 -
true, it is cheaper, but youll get sick of having to do that!
anyway, i just wanted to post my experience, i wont get involved in a dvd rental offer again!0 -
Oooo, and they dont like to let you cancel your subscription so just be warned and prepared to write a mean letter - check the other posts in the lovefilm thread - you will see what i mean.
Great offer though - Better than the others out on the market.
