What to do!??!

Options
Hello!

My hubby and I are looking to do something from home or something that has flexible hours.. Me having a back condition and him being my carer means we need it to be flexible..

We have had a few ideas of what to do.. Could you please advice me of what you think would be best to do (ie best income)

My hubby to train as a website developer - Then he can work from home.

My hubby to train as a property developer then go self employed so he can work between school pick ups etc.

Me to re-train to become a nail technician which is what I did before having children!

We did think about him being a door supervisor but we found its too dangerous especially having me and 4 children to look after!

We also thought about starting a magazine/directory but after lots of reasearch we've decided it's not really profitable enough..

We have also discussed selling at carboots/ebay etc but what would be best to sell to make it profitable after the ebay charges??

Thank you sooooo much for your help

x

Property developer stands out from your list due to the massive amount of money you would need to start up this kind of business. You would need a deposit to put down on the property plus the money to develop it. Do you have £xx,xxx in the bank?

Website developer looks good to me, but will require a lot of time in training to become good at it, has he got any experience already?

Nail technician looks good to me as well, as you have already trained in it so should be a case of just restarting what you were doing before, but running it yourself rather than being employed by someone.

You might have more luck if you knew what kind of earnings you require, then you could look at jobs/businesses in that earning range
