Yep. You are being paid via an umbrella company. Here's one mainly targetted at lorry drivers which gives a good idea of what they do and how it works.

The problem I have with them is its used by employers to welch out of paying employers NI and also allows them to wash their hands of employee rights.

my breaks are paid.

but its very hard to get a complete hour without being called as i am the only officer at the shop, so something always crops up
