After discharge

Hi all i was discharged from BR in September, ive heard that i should now start cleaning my credit file, is this true? Is there anything i need to get to start doing this? Credit reports? Will i need a certificate of discharge? More than one copy? Or will just a letter from the OR do? etc, thanks in advance. :)

    Thanks i have checked the link but it doesnt say anything about needing a certificate of discharge etc, will i need this? Or can i just write a letter myself or get the OR to write one??

    depends really....most creditors are happy with a letter from your OR stating your discharge

    the odd one or two in the past have been known to ask for the official discharge cert, you get this from the court you petitioned at at a cost of £65 (or free if on certain benefits)
