Hi - I am a young(ish) mum of two beautiful daughters, I am currently on maternity leave and am thouroughly enjoying being at home with them. I am a relatively intelligent person and am hardworking and have always always wanted to start my own business, the problem is that I lack the initial idea of what business to set up. Any ideas would be most welcome and appreciated!

If you're arty/crafty you could make things to sell online, via eBay etc.:A0

How about personalised wedding invitations. A friend of mine does it in her spare time makes about £2-£3 per card made, so 50 guests £100 and so on. Takes her a good 5 hours though.0

i started my business 3 years ago as a hobby, when i became redundant i went full time. My point is find something you like and cross it with a skill you have cos with kids you'll need to be able to leave it and go back when you can
i need more info to be specific, avoid anything heavy or bulky, ref storage and delivery like the above suggestion, look at the wedding market, people go nuts as its a one off!! maybe a wedding planner, did you plan yours!
What ever you do, keep your cost down, i started with £500. I brought some business cards, letterheads, website, materials, and have never looked back
Good Luck0
