We're trying elsewhere before we pull the plug on our sale/purchase. Have you tried elsewhere?
We've tried a broker now - waiting to hear what they say - dont want to have too many 'declined' as it would look really bad... Have you tried elsewhere?0 -
90% deals are a lot cheaper with lenders direct - only use a broker if you have a complex situation (I'm a broker - Ive reported my sig is not working in case someone wonders)0

Thank you all for your replies.
I think we have to be prepared for potential bad news from HSBC. We tried other high street lenders and a few online too but HSBC is the only one ok with 10% deposit. If HSBC doesn't work out, we might go to a broker.
HSBC did say that the maximum amount they could lend us is up to £214k as long as the LVT is 90%. We thought that was good because we are asking nearly £35k less than what they say they can lend.
