There was a mega buck private development build a few year back in up market area of Edinburgh. Apparantley each house had a failrysteep drive in and out, developer installed underground heating under drives for winter use. Down and outs got wind of this and, some were found sleeping out on drives. BTW factual story!!

Maybe not a good idea for motorways!!
