Just had OR Interview

Really nice and pleasant guy, which was a relief as I had been dreading this more than actually going to the court.

On the phone for 58 minutes, which didn't seem that long.

Went through my reasons for BR, my creditors, dates of each debt and what I used the money for ( I had 5 creditors), but the main thing is that he was not critical in any way.

Clarified a couple of points for me, that I have seen asked on the forums before........

Any bill dated up to AND INCLUDING the date of your BR can be included. My gas and electricity bills from EDF were dated 17th November, day of my BR and these can be included.

My water bill dated 16th September (that covers water charges in advance until 30th March 2011) can be included. The water company then send out a new bill that cover the post BR period, ie: from 17th November till 30th March 2011. So I will save a few quid there.

I didn't realise that when I get my nil tax code, that it won't be taken at source from my pay. So must remember to not spend the extra money when it appears in my monthly wage !! I will be contacted at a later date with instructions on who/how to pay it.

Hi, glad your interview went well. Ive got my OR interview Thurs 10am, Im absolutley worried to bits about it, not sure why? I have a sick to the stomach feeling everytime I think about it, what If I cant answer the questions? I have no idea as to what I used loans and credit cards for as theres that many and were took out years ago. I was in an IVA for 4years but that recently failed due to 1 thing and another. Any advice as to what Il be asked. My husbands interview is Thurs at 9am. Will they tell me on thurs as to whether wel have an IPA?

jetr77, i was exactly the same, that sick i'm about to sit an exam feeling. it really was ok though. just do your best to answer and if you don't know, say i'm really sorry i don't know. the people who interview you are only human. they will go through your SOA with you, but may or may not confirm the IPA immediately. good luck x

From my experience this morning, I was worried sick the night before, but the OR isn't there to catch you out. I couldn't remember lots of what my debts were originally for as I had used credit for many years. If you can remember any particularly large purchases etc that will help, otherwise just be as accurate as you can remember. I didn't have any statements sent for the last 2 years as my debts had been sold to various debt collection agancies.

Make a list of questions to ask the OR yourself, it will take pressure of feeling as if it is an exam. The OR won't make an opinion of you, or anything like that, he is just doing his daily job, and will be interviewing someone else after you.

Have a copy of your 6.28 petition in front of you as he/she will go through some of these sections, and some of the answers will be in front of you to make it a lot easier. He didn't even go through my expenditure sheet.

Been there got the tee shirt, I was bricking it, and to make things worse I got to go first :mad::mad::mad: so when the OR got to my OH I had done it all:mad::mad::mad: I was so stressed but quickly found out that they were not trying to get me :j:j:j:j:j:j:j all over now I think as I have not been able to check as the site is down :mad::mad::mad: final blow but hey life i great without the burden of my little plastic thorn in my side :T:T:T:T

I was the same about remembering what I had used thevmoney for. They only really asked about the last 6 months to a year.
