where to buy decorations?

As we have a bigger tree this year I need to buy some more decorations to fill it lol !

I only like red / white / wooden / shaker sort of style decs
maybe the odd green thing thrown in too lol

nothing gaudy / bright etc!

so was wondering if anyone had seen any websites or knew of anyone that makes them ? ( would like to support smaller outlets or people that make them @ home etc if poss)

maybe some groups on facebook or on ebay etc?

Thanks in advance
x

I am sure there are loads on ebay or folksy.... but personally i think the look you are going for is more easily acheived if you do it yourself....

    * Get cutters (hearts, gingerbread men, stars etc) and make saltdough decorations for tree.
    * Buy candycanes (cheapy shops like poundland etc)
    * Buy cinnamon sticks, put them in bunches of three and just tie them with gingham ribbon (use wire to secure them together if you have any)
    * try making some of these http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/8233/orange-and-ginger-stained-glass-biscuits

    * even just tying wired gingham ribbon in bows and attaching to tree with wire looks effective
    * Buy some of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/8-Wooden-Heart-medium-8cm-Craft-Tags-XMAS-/220677984170?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Celebrations_Occasions_ET&hash=item33616ecfaa and just paint them to suit and hang with ribbon.
I made some really easy felt hearts to hang by just cutting out the shape in red and green and then sewed together using blanket stitching in white cotton (leave a bit of space to sew in a ribbon loop to hang with ;o)

    :D
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?
