Pension Credit Query

My wife and I are both aged 59. My wife becomes sixty in January 07 and in May I do as well.
My wife does not work. I lost my job two years ago and I have not been able to find suitable employment on a regular basis since that time and have survived mainly on savings during that time. I did not make any claim during that time so therefore did not have my stamp credited. I am not eligible for JSA or Invalalidity benefit as the two years that I have missed in stamps overides the 41 years that I have made in excess of full contributions. One year ago we sold our house and moved 60 miles away near to my wifes sisters with the intention of buying a house of similar value but as we have no income these monies are dwindling as we are renting privately and everything is going out and nothing is coming in. In March this year I applied for Incapacity benefit for which I was awarded "Credits only" which was followed by a medical in which the examiner discovered an additional problem.
Now that I have bored you with the history my query is that when I run my situation through "Entitled to" on the basis of that my wife reaches the age of sixty shortly that if we were to purchase a house with our remaining capital the question is:
1) Would we be eligible for Pension Credit?
2) Would we be eligible for Council Tax benefit?
3) Would I be eligible for full Incapacity benefit when I have had Nat Ins credits credited for the two years?
I am sorry if this is complicated and I would appreciate any advice. Many Thanks.

Pension credit and Council Tax Benefit depend on your income, your best bet is to apply anyway as many people dont bother and only find out later that they are entitled.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
