Once I defrost my turkey joint do I have to cook it straight away?

Hello

First year doing my own xmas dinner, have made roast dinners before though :)

I have just bought a frozen turkey breast joint from Aldi but I have a really small slimline freezer and it has taken up about half the room in my freezer and I still need to get a few other bits and pieces e.g buffet food and probs extra loaves of bread.

I have an Asda delivery booked for 22nd December, if I take the joint out of the freezer then, will it still be safe to use on Xmas day?

I have no problems using fresh to frozen steak mince etc after being defrosted for 2-3 days, but I am just a bit wary with it being poultry.

Any help appreciated.
