Can anyone help? If for instance your were to record your own DVD of, for instance, trail walking. Is there anyway you can stop the DVD's then being recorded by someone else should you wish to let them view said DVD?

I dont think there is a software sorry, i know Apple's DVD Studio Pro allows you to select copy protection but the image has to go to DLT first and even then it can be bypassed.0

No there isn't. Even BluRay can be ripped and that has far more protection available.
If someone is determined enough then there is not stopping them.0 -
Yes there is do not let them have access to the video file or the dvd disc and makesure they have no video recording equipment on them, ie camcorder or phone etc.0
