I'm about to make this cake for my friends birthday as she loves baileys and i thought it would be a O/S moneysaving thing to do (as we really need to save money at the moment):

It says powdered sugar for the filling and frosting...does this mean caster sugar or icing sugar?
Also
At the beginning where it says '1 cup sugar', would you use caster sugar (though it does also say light brown sugar)
Thanks for any quick replies

Powdered will be icing sugar and the 1 cup sugar would probably be caster as you are mixing it up with the butter/marg. Hope the cake turns out well and it sounds yum.0

Thanks for your quick reply.
It does sound lovely doesn't it (hope it turns out as nice) and my friend loves baileys. I have all the ingredients in my house except the cream, which i had to buy and I have a big bottle of Baileys that i never seem to drink so i can use that too....so over all my only purchase has been the cream which was 95p from Asda....so money saving without my friend knowing....but i always think homemade is so much nicer (that's if it turns out ok) lol0 -
Just thought i'd let you know i made the cake and it turned out wonderful...i was really plaesed with it and my friend loved it. When i was cooking the cake the whole house smelt of baileys...it was heaven!
Thanks again for your help0
