I'm currently going through the process of trying to reclaim my bank charges. Does anyone have any advice on how the court system works if it comes to that stage. Like how i do it, how i cancel it if they settle? it's confusing!!

I've done that but i can't find the bit about court. I've sent my LBA off after they refused point blank to give me anything back so i'm ready for court action. Is it as easy as filling in the court form and then just contacting them if or when the bank finally give in before the date is up?0

To answer your question, you can cancel the action at any time AFAIK.
I am at the stage where I am about to file a small claims with Moneyclaim online. Nitwits are expected to cave in about a day before it gets to court. I'm hoping they don't because I would really like to see a judge making a clear ruling to make it easier for everyone else to claim. If they wait for the day itself, I won't be setting foot into the court building until a few minutes before the hearing so that they don't have chance to settle out of court.
The question is, if they offer me the figure I'm asking for, do I have to accept it or can I ask a judge to rule on it?[strike]-£20,000[/strike] 0!0 -

Can anyone help with a couple of questions regarding claiming back credit card charges. I have looked over on the CAG site but can't find the answers. Does it work exactly like claiming back bank charges i.e. send £10 with the data access letter? Or, say as with MBNA who cover a few credit cards, do I just send one £10 payment with data access letter asking for statements for all credit cards operated by them?0
