I took a gammon joint out of the freezer on Wednesday night to slow cook for dinner the following day. Ended up not using it & haven;t had a chance to since. Will it still be OK tomorrow to use do you think? It is vacuum sealed and is in the fridge.
Thanks.
Thanks.

i would be inclined to go by smell, leave it out of the vacuum pack for a few mins before having a big sniff xDebt free

Thanks. Shall give that a go (I was stupidly sniffing it whilst packaged & thinking it smelt fine! silly!)0

Hi,
It should be fine. Gammon is cured to start with, and so has a much longer shelf life than other meats. Especially if its vac packed. Always trust your nose though!
Hope it makes a tasty meal

If any meat is a bit dodgy I give it a good rub with salt and then put it into water (which then makes the water brine) and leave it for about an hour. This will kill anything iffy on the meat and even improves the taste.I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
