I may be able to help you. Some time ago, I bought (expensive) the addresses of everyone on the 2002 census. However, over the weekend, I have bought the 2004 edition but as yet, haven't had the opportunity to take it out of it's wrapper. If you PM me and provide info I will gladly pass on to you anything that comes up.

BUT, to narrow down the search, it will be usefull to have the complete name, last known area/county. If there is a wife/husband, their names would help.

BECAUSE, there could be many with the name John
Smith but a middle name/initial would reduce the number of responses, then, if a wife/husband could be shown, I'd enter that and see if I could notice the same address for both names.

    Having the county, reduces equally.

I do have their car registration number but no telephone number or anything like that. I have their NI number, dob and bank details.

Sorry if I'm wrong, but this sounds a bit odd! To have these details about someone you must have been very close. Do they want to be found or are you persuing someone who doesn't want you to know where they are?

I'm not sure we should be helping you with this. (Again, apologies if I'm wrong.)

Yes Paul you are right. The disc clearly states "Find Friends & Family fast, 79million records from the 2002 & 2003 electoral role", apologies for incorrect info, it was not my intention to mislead

Nothing dodgy about the info i was after - the person i am looking for obviously doesn't want me to know where they are - but i do have mail and 2 court summons to pass on to them (i have informed the court about their disappearance).

I have decided however, not to pursue this matter any further - thanks for any help....

I have got the Uk Info Disk (Special Edition) which contains the UK Electoral Roll data for 2002 and 2003. But it was free with an edition of PC Plus earlier this year.

This means you do not get telephone numbers and the searches are a little limited but it is OK for most purposes.

Hi Paul, my goodness what a morning, after several hours gardening and dealing with a telephone provider changeover, decided to come here......WRONG !, I've had a hell of a time getting on the site, kept getting the Gateway Timeout thing.

Anyway, yes, I too have that disc free with a mag, however from Dreams Direct I purchased (about £30) the 2002 version, which by comparison is much better.

In the mag the disc came with, it suggested you could type in the road and get the names of everyone in the road, but I'm damned if I can do that. Also, when you enter surname, initial and town/region, it requires a postcode, but how the dickens can you do that, most large towns have multiple postcodes, thats without venturing onto cities. So, am I doing something wrong? or is it simply limted use.

It states, "Unleash the full power of UK-Info Professional V9 2004, with XSearch TM.", well what's that all about ?

  • Hi,
If your still interested in this subject you could try The Salvation Army Tracing Service. I am unsure if they limit service to Family, but it maybe worth contacting them. Phone any Salvation Army and ask them to look at the DISPO under Family Tracing Unit...
    Hope you are lucky..:@)
