Should have been getting Married today :-(

Hi all,

me and OH were due to get married today however had to cancel cos of the snow, we hadn't received my shawl, flowergirls tights, Best Man gift, cake stand! My hair appointment was cancelled, as was my nail appointment and our rehersal! Our suits didn't get to us, and the car cancelled, also the venue hadn't received any deliveries all week! So we have postponed and I now have another 7 weeks to wait! Feel gutted as my entire theme was Christmas :-( xxxx

o no thats really terrible news. I am sure everything will perfectly on your revised date you really deserve it to.
  • change NOTHING about you theme! that would make it a real day to remember.

imagine 10 years down the line people go do you remember moneytroubles wedding? oh yea she had to postpone it but had a awesome xmas theme in February now that's different!

head up chuck all things happen for a reason xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Definitely do not change the theme - it'll be like a second christmas just when everyone needs some cheering up following the bills and failure of resolutions :D

Seriously though, I am sorry that it didn't happen today - it must have been so upsetting having looked forward to it for so long. But now you get the chance to tweak anything you'd run out of time for, and it's brilliant that you've managed to reorganise everything so quickly :T

  • The positive spin is you have another lovely 7 weeks full of excitment in the lead up to your wedding, plus Christmas in between :)

(sorry to see the snow scuppered your plans x)
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x
  • My mum once hosted her works Christmas party in May. You should definitely keep the Christmas theme!

As you grow old together it will be something to tell your grandchildren about.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.
  • So sorry to hear about your news, but as others have said keep the theme - it will be lovely to have a Christmassy themed wedding after Christmas

  • I too am sorry to read that your wedding has had to be postponed, I agree, it will be a talking point for all the years after the wedding though it may not seem like it now. I would be devastated too :( But try & be positive, enjoy Christmas.... then have another 'Christmas' & wedding to enjoy, with a lovely new husband as the best present ever xx
