Go to the Account dropdown (top right of page on FB), then Account settings, then Notifications

Uncheck any boxes you don't want notifying about, e.g. "comments after you on a link", "comments after you on a photo", "comments on a photo of you" etc...

eta - in this particular case the specific one you need to uncheck is 'replies to your discussion board post'

Ohhh thank you!!! Had 7 notifications within minutes if entering, was so annoying! Stopped them after people tag photo's after me in comps too. Me happy now lol :T
