i make "gloop" by boiling water, dissolving 3/4 bars of soap(grated), adding in 2 cups of soda crystals. leave to cool. then add to your wash but put in the drum not the draw! Works perfectly and very very cheap!

I heard about it from the money saving old style board.

You can make powder by buying vaule powder, mix in grated soap, borax and soda crystals
