Very confused - IPA??

Hi everyone
Please can anyone offer some insight into my situation as I’m very confused, and I had a very strange telephone conversation yesterday with the OR:
I went BR February. At that time I wasn’t assessed for a IPA as my circumstances were due to change (moving home and change of job) so I was told by the OR they would contact me in approx 5 months (August) when everything was sorted out to fill in a income/expenditure form and be assessed for an IPA then.
Fast forward to the end of August and I’d heard nothing so I called and was told they were severely behind with admin and something should come. I have since moved house and notified the OR by email to which I had no response.
As I have never received any paperwork since my initial bankruptcy, I called the OR yesterday and was told my file was ‘closed’ and had been passed over to the early discharge clerk. I was put through to him and he admitted that the paperwork was sent to me in September, but due to a clerical error on their part it was sent to my previous address, hence I never got it! He then went on to tell me that I was too late to be considered for early discharge so I should be automatically discharged in February, and I should just go onto the website at that point and print off my discharge certificate (and contact him if that was a problem and he would send me something in the post). When I asked about when I would be sent the expenditure forms to potentially sent up an IPA, I was told I wouldn’t be sent them as it was too late to sort this out and to just wait until my discharge.
Can some please tell me if this correct, as quite frankly it sounds a bit strange that I wouldn’t be assessed for an IPA? My projected discharge date is 15/02/11, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

shhhhh. If they have said you wont be assessed for an IPA then leave it at that, if you are going to be assessed then it wont be very favourable to you, look at the top of the threads pageHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Hello Becky and welcome, DI is right..........You've done what your obliged to do by informing your OR of any changes and they have said 'not enough time to set an IPA up' soooooo run for those hills and have a Merry christmas x
Best wishes

Thanks so much everyone, to be honest it just sounds too good to be true but I'm going to hope I dont hear anything else until my discharge. Both the OR and discharge clerk sounded very busy and harassed, the discharge clerk was telling me he is the only one doing his job and the paperwork is approx 3 months behind - he soundly completely fed up!0

Yep, thats probably because they have got rid of all the temp workers, are looking to make 500 more redundant and have got a new computor system that still isnt working properly 2 months after it startedHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
