Hi, I was automatically discharged on November 6th 2010 and wondering if I should've received a letter or something from the official receiver to confirm this as I need proof to enable me to have internet banking?
Thanks, Louise
Thanks, Louise

Hi Louise, You don’t usually get confirmation of discharge with AD. Alas and Alack the IS site is still down.......so bear with them!! But normally you can print off several copies from the insolvency service site, this will help with credit file clean up later too.
Click on blue link below:- (hope it is up and running soon x)

Most creditors will accept this. Bear in mind your name will stay online for 3 months after your AD date and then disappear. You can contact your OR and ask for confirmation in writing they will do this for free, of which I have now done. Or you can pay £60 for the official certificate of discharge from the court you went BR from ( in some cases depending if you are on benefits you can have this for free as well).
Hope this helps

Hi Minxy.
Who are you banking with? Co-Op Cashminder gives internet banking day 1. As you can't overdraw there's no need to block internet banking.
If you're with the Co-Op, give them a call and they'll set it up. Not sure about Barclays's policy. They may still be in the Dark Ages! :beer:0 -
Hi again.
Sorry. It's been a long hard week. My brain hurts. Didn't appreciate fully what you were saying. I take it you're after a proper account again, so Cashminder may not be what you want.
Does anyone know when the Insolvency service's computer is going to be up and running again?0
