Not knowing all my creditors

Due to having my head firmly up my !!!! for way too long now I have lost track of all my creditors, and more importantly they have lost track of me!

When I go bankrupt what would happen if I haven't managed to get in touch with everyone so they are all considered? Or more importantly what would happen if I find the details after I have gone BR, will I need to go through it all again?

Anyone missed off your bankruptcy will be included thats one of the reasons why its always printed in the london gazette to give any creditor chance to speak to your receiver

any debts you ran up AFTER bankruptcy then yep you would have to sort those yourself but anything before it'll be fine

Obviously make every effort to list as many as you are able, but as Phil said they will still be covered.

My OR was alittle off when i provided a further creditor i was unaware of at the time of BR.

Best to keep them as on side as possible i think.

    Good Luck

Most aren't fortunately, as they are well aware and understand that they can be easily missed of or lost trace of.

I just senced a change in tone of voice. Probably reading too much into it. They have been very good apart from that. (just in case they're reading) :D

It depends on the details to be honest as to how the examiner will react. Forget a small amount and fine, forget a £20k loan which was taken out in the past year, and your tone does change!

  • You could always apply for your credit file if you are that concerned about identifying all your debts
