(just to clarify, I am looking for £25k+ so I don't think the Job Centre have that kind of job do they?!?!

They do occasionally but often as you suspect (re job centre)

As far as I was aware The Times does jobs every day but mon-fri they have different job sectors and Sunday is all sectors (and by far the most expensive for companies to advertise in) - also with the times you can search on their website http://www.timesonline.co.uk/jobs

You'd be surprised at what they have sometimes. It's worth checking out the Job Centre website as well as the others. You can search for the sort of job you want, so you won't have to trawl through pages of part-time Christmas shop assistant jobs or whatever.
