Hallam Fm £1000...

Had a call from Hallam FM at 1.20 and he told me I had entered a competition to win my works christmas party. I told him I worked in London and he said they were based in Sheffield! I asked if that was okay and I wouldnt have a problem getting to Sheffield, considering it was for a £1000 vouchers!

He asked me if I still wanted to play and I said Yes! So he said he would call me back in 5 minutes.... No phone call since ..Nearly half hour ago

I've got it on now. I feel gutted, just got that feeling I'm not going to be getting a call back =/

Did you get called back hun? That's appalling. If it doesn't state that it is for sheffield only then they should no way discriminate against you for being in london. x

Were you told implicitly that you were going to be on the air if you got called back, or was it just a call to say you might go on air.

I had a call once which said i "might go on air" if the first three people on their list didn't answer the call. Perhaps this was the situation you were in as well.

Thanks for your replies. I was told I would be on air and I would be playing. He didn't say it was problem that I was in London he just said that we can say i travel to sheffield on work purposes.

I never got a call back. I don't normally enter comps that are far away but if its for a high amount then its worth it! Should i complain?

Someone called Elaine won it, I'm sure it was for a specific venue in sheffield that the vouchers had to be spent for your workmates party, although I was half listening whilst the kids were acting up in the car.

Been called by Hallam a few times to play on air comps and its just the way that they do it, sometimes they call sometimes they don't.

Hope you get lucky with something else soon. x

If it was this one it doesn't say anything about a restriction on location. How many workmates did you nominate? if you went the full 10 that's only £90 each, if you all have to collect personally it's hardly worth travelling to sheffield just to spend in a shopping centre there.

I don't think it was for make over but I guess I could be wrong. On the phone he said to me it was for £1000 in shopping vouchers.
