  • They are a super site with fantastic customer service.

The couriers left a parcel on my doorstep on Monday that to say it had been through a shredder is an understatement, the couriers were obviously to blame and had decided to drop and run. I checked the books, all are for gifts, and 3 were fine. One has a crease on the front cover and the other was the Times Atlas of Britain and the case was completely destroyed. The customer service were super and so apologetic even though not their fault. The dictionary with the crease is now out of stock so they have refunded me 50% of the cost as I was happy to keep it, this is present for DS so it doesn't matter so much. They got another atlas sent out straight away which arrived the next day and the collections department rang me yesterday to arrange collection of the atlas to suit me. With service like this I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others. Do look out for codes as I always manage to find them and so never pay postage.

I have used the Book People for many many years (predating the internet in fact when they used to drop off samples and order forms in my work!) and think they are fantastic. Have had some wonderful bargains from them, and delivery is always really quick too.

You can't go wrong with the Book People. I've used them loads and have only had one occasion where I wasn't satisfied - I'd ordered a pack of childrens books as a present and one was creased (not badly, but when you're buying a present you want things to look perfect). I rang up and asked if they could replace them and they told me to give the damaged ones to my daughters school, and they sent me out some more. Really fantastic customer service and the prices are amazing.

They are excellent their customer service is second to none. As other people have stated they never quibble if anything is damaged they replace immediately. Also they really are good value.
