It's a present for my daughter. I have one still working fine that was made in East Germany over 20 years ago! I have looked online and many seem to get bad reviews about being flimsy and breaking down easily.
Should I go for the cheapest one, on the basis that they are all made of cheap materials in China, or is there a medium priced, sturdy and durable one out there that someone could reccommend?
She just wants a simple hand held one for occasional use.
Any suggestions gratefully received:)

The cheap ones have rubbish motors in them so if you're likely to be beating more than cream they'll have a greater chance of burning out. The more expensive ones have steel beaters which don't corrode.
