I have Adaware, and Spybot also one on my yahoo toolbar, that's enough I think.

I also have Spybot and Ad-aware as well as the AOL one. I run these processes every other day and the Microsoft found threats that my already installed ones didn't. Hmmm..."There are no pockets in a shroud..."0

Bargainbabe,
My post on page 1 detailing the trojan that latches onto MS's one would make me remove the program from my pc.0 -
Personally, i find Adaware to be the best, but as a precaution i advise evryone to use both programs as microsoft update theire definition very regularly. Norton Anti Virus is also the best anti virus program but it costs (can be found for free, but illegal!)0

What a joke. Read up on their support website and this beta version they are giving you for free will expire on July 31st 2005. Knowing Microsoft it will then be a full blown application which you will have to pay for and you'll probably be forever plugging the holes in it. Their support doc states:
"At that time, you will be prompted to remove Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) from your computer. This limited period of use is a standard feature of beta releases and ensures the long-term use of only fully supported software."
Read it here http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;8922790 -
It doesn't seem crap to me - I also use lavasoft adaware and spybot and the Microsoft one picked up stuff that those didn't. I say use them all !To infinity and beyond!0
