i am with payplan and i am paying my creditors off monthly.
all have defaulted me and some have sold debt on
question
will the defaults drop off six years from default or six years from when they sell it on.
also if a debt is sold on to these companies do they/can they register the debt.
hope that makes sense basically i am saying even if it takes me more than six years to pay off through payplan should these drop off or will they remain until debt is cleared

Any entry on your credit files drops off after six years. Usually if you are defaulted by the principal creditor then the debt collectors do not default you again because you did not sign the agreement with them, but they could in some circumstances. Best bet is to check your credit files in six months.

One default is bad enough I know...but how many defaults makes you un credit worthy?.....Because I know someone with 3 defaults and still got online shopping credit and a GE capital bank finance agreement
Anyone know?
thanks
