Ugh well I just got a letter this morning saying the phone bill hadn't been paid-it's his phone but in my name-he didn't have a bank account so couldn't get a contract-£130!!!!I am furious.Especially as he assured me on Friday that he'd paid it.I don't know what to do.I can't afford to pay off his phone bill.I have texted him but his phone is off.I am giving him till tonight and if he doesn't get in touch I am going to ring up the company and tell them he has stolen my phone and get a replacement sent to me.I will still have to pay the £130 but at least he won't be able to use it any more.I have a friend coming over from Poland in 2 weeks time and he will need a phone so I will let him use it-I trust him to pay me for the bills. My ex still hasn't brought the papers round for me to sign the car over to him and te road tax is due at the end of the month. If he doesn't pay it then it'll be me that gets into trouble.I can't beleive he's being so nasty. Not sure what to do about the car-I can't afford to pay the road tax on it but it's in my name
Life is just crap right now

TMD it's getting better don't let it get you down.
Why are you signing the car over to him - won't you need it to drop the kids off at school?
The letter could have been sent before he paid - but if it doesn't show up on your account then get the phone blocked.0 -
The car is his car-I have my own car.I was stupid enough to buy it for him and pay for the insurance too.
I called the phone company and it definitely hasn't been paid.Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

If you go to the post office and get a form V62, and pay a fee of £19, the DVLA will send you a replacement V5.
You can then send that to the DVLA with your ex's new home address completed on the new keepers details.
There might be another way to do it, but I'm not sure0 -
Call the phone company asap - he might call the speaking clock in Japan otherwise

You could always declare the car as SORN but it will have to be kept off public highway, cancel the insurance and ask for a refund for the rest of the year and get the V5 sent off in his name. Well done with the Job, Things now should hopefully be on the up for you. :grouphug: and don't forget to

If you paid for the car and its in your name - couldn't you sell it? Sorry if this a stupid question - I don't know about car ownership at all.0
