  • Thank you - I can finally spend that pound that's been mouldering in my purses for years! Mind you, I've had a token for Auchen in my purse for ages - they just give them away in France!

  • Whats stopping you using these in vending machines other than your conscience ?

The weight and texture. Coin mechanisms are getting more sophisticated each year. They can spot a fake coin that at first (and second for that matter) glance would seem quite genuine, and their not shy about spitting them back out.

The mechanisms on trollies are very simple and are only concerned with size and shape.

    Great find OP.

It's not rocket science to do multi-quotes anyway, even if it's not obviously offered. Just quote the two posts separately (in separate browser windows) and copy between your browser windows.

I know but some people don't know how. But they do now :)

I was just pointing out that posting 2 posts and quoting 2 separate people is nor needed.

  • Really pleased to see this thanks, Got a charity one for £1.50 this week, but it did not work today in a morrisons trolley for some reason, still had to fumble for a quid. Maybe others have had coin keyrings not work for them too? I will now wait for this one & in the meantime try my keyring maybe at another supermarket?
