Boots LGU890 contract cost £300 - £370 adv points back

Ok looking for another phone as DD left hers in a pocket and it got washed -

There are 2 phones on the boots mobile phone site the LGU890

http://www.bootsphones.com/details_package.aspx?pc=5&tc=13&np=12&m=18&p=3477&i=2304862&pkg=240-255P01429019&st=0&offset=0&hp=0&rt=0&categoryquantity=0&gb=0

and the LGU300 - think this is one of the latest phones to hit the market

http://www.bootsphones.com/details_package.aspx?pc=5&tc=13&np=12&m=18&p=3121&i=2304861&pkg=240-255P01433019&st=0&offset=0&hp=0&rt=0&categoryquantity=0&gb=0

which are along the lines of last years great offer.
BUT these 2 are 12 months contract on 3 @ £25.00 - which I have just read in the terms you can alter the contract after 6 months

These both have £25 a month contracts giving a 12 month spend of £300 which Boots very kindly give in return £370 worth of Advantage points. so £70 free.you get 1000 on the phone delivery and the remainder you claim in month 8.

Be aware I dont think you can unlock either of these phones - also read somewhere 3 fix the sim card in so you cannot remove it.

As many MSEs know this is a genuine offer and you do get the points (lots of reminders on here when the 8 months was up last time )

I hope as many of you benefit as did last time, this is easy money even if you never use the phone.
Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T

I have recently taken up this offer with the LGU300. I am very happy with the phone's capabilities, but please be aware that they sent me a bright orange one, not the silver shown!!

When I called C.S. they said they did not do the silver one!

Told them it was therefore ridiculous to show the silver one on their website, and they said that Boots are responsible for the pictures (yeah, right!).

Anyway, they said I could return it, but I decided to keep it as I'll get soooo many points later.

Contract is also pretty good - 200 minutes of calls, 100 texts, £5 of free downloads, and some other video texts and call minutes (which I doubt I'll ever use) per month.

    Hope this helps!!

On receipt of your seventh invoice from the relevant network, you must register your claim by emailing your details to cashback@dextra.co.uk . On receipt, we will confirm your eligibility and give you full details of how to progress your claim. You must be up to date with all payments to the network and remain on your **initial tariff** in order to qualify for the remaining Boots Advantage Card points (the advertised total less 1000 points automatically awarded to you upon delivery of your new phone). Upon successful completion of the validation process, the remaining points will be credited to your account by The Boots Company PLC. Where this is not the case, then you will not be entitled to receive the balance of the Boots Advantage Card points offered.

Just had a quick look at the conditions and it states you must remain on your inital tariff.
Still great deal the only thing that stops me is I don't like the phones much and that maybe you can't remove the sim.

I took up a similar offer with them last month on the Sony 810. I had real problems getting the 1000 points from them. first of all it was 7 days, then 7 to 10 days and then 14 days. Finally got totally fed up and contacted Boots customer service who arranged for 1500 points to be added there and then. I got the name of customer service person but do feel that I will have a small battle to get the 36000 points come the 7th bill.

great offer :T will have to think if I NEED a new phone though and if I want to commit myself to that much going out of my account every month... if it was cashback then I wouldn't hesitate but with boots points I'm not so sure...

does anyone know if it works through Quidco?
