How is tax calculated if do 2 jobs?

so then it makes no difference to your total tax per year or your tax per month (assuming your total income is below the 40% tax band... then the total tax due per annum would still be the same but there may be some practical difficulies is getting the codes correct)0 -
Ok, so I will be earning under the 40% tax bracket. My P45 is with my existing employer of 7 years where I will remain on 2 days per week. So no point in transferring it to the new employer where I will be 3 days per week? Who would I need to inform that I am doing 2 jobs?0

normally you would need to tell your second employer that you already have a job so they can set you up with a BR taxcode
in your specific situation of having two jobs with the same employer I've no idea0
